Good Deeds Double Giveaway

Skunk Cover
Billy and Jillian want to do good deeds. What’s the problem? Their parents are crooks and want the twins to follow in their footsteps! The twins have to do their good deeds in secret and thwart their parents’ crimes. Book three of this chapter-book series is hot off the press.

To celebrate, I’m hosting a Good Deed Double Giveaway. If you win, you get one autographed copy for yourself and one to give to a good cause–a school library, a children’s hospital, a silent auction…you name it.

To enter, comment on this post below with a description of who you’d choose to give your second copy to and why. For example, “Hi, I’d like to give my second copy to An Open Book Foundation, a non-profit based in DC, because they promote reading and give books to low-income schools.” First name only is fine; your email address will not be published.

I’ll choose a lucky winner on May 30! For U.S. residents and U.S.-based organizations only, please. Children may enter with parents’ or guardian’s permission only.

Other ways to join in the fun?

Sing and dance to the Skunk’s theme song!

  1. I would donate my second book to my daughter’s babysitter Chippo who loves your books! She would be thrilled with a signed Amato book!

  2. I would like to give The Good Deed Double Giveaway to Palm Beach Children’s Hospital in West Palm Beach , Florida if I win! I work there and just today I saw the volunteer bookshelf EMPTY! The volunteers operate a gift shop and also maintain a library of books to lend to patients and their family members while they are hospitalized. Thanks for such a great contest! Good Luck Everyone.

  3. I’d give the second copy to a neighboring school, Kocurek Elementary. It’s where I volunteered before becoming a full-fledged school librarian!

  4. I’d give the book away to one of our many students who are in love with Good Crooks series. I’d have a drawing and pick one name from the students who’ve already completed one of the titles. Mary Amato is coming to our school in November and we can’t wait!

  5. I’d love to give a copy of your book to Park School in Evanston. Park School students are recommended for Park benefit from a self-contained educational facility for reasons of safety , health, and/or the need for an intensive therapeutic environment. Park School can serve students with special needs as early as age 3 and up to age 22.

Students who are eligible for Park programming will primarily function in the moderate to profound range of intellectual disability. They may also be multiply impaired, which may include physical impairment, deaf/hard of hearing, visual impairment, and/or autism.

    1. Tracy, your entry was chosen at random as the winner. I sent an email to the address you used to enter. You can respond via email to receive your two free books. Congrats!

  6. I would give my second copy to the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center of Howard County. Grassroots is a multi-service crisis intervention center providing 24-hour crisis intervention services, emergency and transitional shelter, and community education. Giving new books always helps!
