Want to know more about Skyping? Skype is a program that allows people to make and receive video calls via computer. Skype-an-author is a site that connects teachers and librarians with authors who have established Skype-an-author profiles to facilitate “virtual visits” either free of charge or for a fee.
I have “skyped” with small and large groups of children from Texas to Maine to Thailand!
Here’s how it works with me. I offer 15-minute Q&A sessions free of charge and longer workshops for a fee. I set aside one day per month as a Skype day and take reservations on a first-come, first-served basis.
